Today's Career Tip
Learn as much as you can about your chosen career or business. Take advantage of opportunities to learn. The more well-rounded you are in your field, the more effective you will be at work and the more attractive you will be to prospective employers.
Some organizatons provide "world-class" training while others expect you to learn all you need to know by yourself. I have come to learn that it is best to take responsibility for how and what you learn. If you work for a supportive organization, that's great. However, you shouldn't let your brain go to sleep. If you work for a not so supportive organization, brace up and look around for opportunities that abound. If you're self-employed, as you look out for business opportunities, ensure you're also looking out for learning opportunities. The internet is a great source of information at minimal costs. I like to say "Google is your friend". Take some time out periodically to learn more about your career or business.
